celebrating sweet nature

Please join me on August 5th for an on-site installation of Celebrating Sweet Nature from 2 - 4pm. You're welcome to come and experience the installation in person and participate if you like.

This new work is in a group show called 12 x 12. A fascinating group show, a twelve month chronicle of being an artist, from twelve points of view.

celebrating sweet nature

Here I've offered a presentation of photographs documenting several new art installations I've been working on. Entitled Celebrating Sweet Nature, this is an ongoing project that explores the relationship of humans to nature.

This presentation includes images of outdoor installations made in locations throughout Nevada and Northern California, including San Francisco, Davis, Tahoe, Pinnacles Natl. Monument, and various state parks in the Santa Cruz area.

Using a novel combination of well-known objects, these art installations ask us to reconsider our relations and our preconceptions. The iconography of Celebrating Sweet Nature conjures issues of spirit, gender, exploitation, respect, morality, ecology, meaning and being.

celebrating sweet nature

This is the first time this work has been shown in a gallery setting.

The Gallery is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11am - 5pm through August 5th.

This show is held at the Rose Shenson Art Gallery at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara. www.tritionmuseum.org
